Keith's article assumes that the reader has extensively birded the ABA Area, but I interpreted his totals to be based solely on the four trips he suggested for a dab- bler, with ranges resulting from overlap among the trips. Some of those species also occur in the ABA Area, and they wouldn't be new to the traveling birder, so I'm not sure how they factor in.
